How do I apply for an EastWest Personal Loan?

What are the application requirements?

a.      Completely filled-out EastWest Online Personal Loan Application Form in the KOMO app

b.       One (1) valid and unexpired digitized photo-bearing and signature-bearing I.D. issued in the Philippines (i.e., Driver’s License, Philippine Passport, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) I.D., SSS I.D., B.I.R. ID, Voter’s I.D., Integrated Bar of the Philippines I.D., and Unified SSS/GSIS and TIN I.D) or same ID* used when you applied for a Komo account.

*Note: If submitted a postal ID for Komo account opening, EastWest may require submission of another valid ID.

c.       Proof of Income as follows:
If employed, upload image ANY of the following:
·         Latest ITR/BIR Form 2316; or
·         Latest three month's payslips; or
·         Certificate of Employment stating Salary, Position and Date Employed and ITR or three months’ Payslips; or

If self-employed, submit ANY of the following:

·         Latest ITR/BIR Form 1701 and Audited Financial Statements
·         DTI Registration Certificate (for Sole Proprietorship) or SEC Registration Certificate with page stating shares owned by the applicant (for Partnerships or Corporations)
·         Business Permit

How much can I borrow?

You can borrow from PhP25,000 to PhP2,000,000 subject to your capacity to pay and approval of EastWest.

Question 6

How do I pay for the monthly installments?

Accepted Answer

Payment will be made through Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA) on your Komo account. This means that Komo will automatically transfer funds from your deposit account to your Personal Loan on your Payment Due Date.

What happens if I fail to pay monthly installments?

In case of delay in payment, 8% of the past due amount or PhP500 whichever is higher shall be applied for every month that the account is past due.

Can I pre-terminate my loan?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can pre-terminate your loan in full. Note however that an early payment processing fee equivalent to 8% of your principal outstanding balance or Php500, whichever is higher, will apply.

Are there any fees?

There is a one-time application fee of Php 1,900 deducted from your loan proceeds if you avail the loan.
If your loan is above Php250,000, a documentary stamp tax (DST) equivalent to Php1.50 for every Php200 of the loan amount will apply. DST will also be deducted from your loan proceeds.

How will I get my loan proceeds?

Loan proceeds will be credited to your Komo account less the applicable processing fee and Documentary Stamps Tax.

How long will it take for my loan application to be approved?

Processing of loan application will take 5 to 7 banking days.
