Who’s eligible for EWRB Teacher’s Salary Loan via Komo Mobile App?

Anyone meeting the requirements below should be eligible to apply for a loan or a reloan via the Komo app:

1. Must be in service under DepEd for at least six (6) months 
2. Integrated in the Regional/Division/School Automatic Payroll Deduction System (APDS)
3. Must have an active EastWest Rural Bank or Komo savings account already linked/used to enroll to Komo mobile app

What supporting documents are required for the application?

During the application process, you will be asked to provide photos of the following:

• Any valid ID (PRC ID, DepEd ID, UMID, etc.)
 • Latest month Pay Slip
 • Appointment or Service Record (for new or 1st ever EastWest Rural Bank Teacher’s Salary Loan applications)

How do I know the status of my application?

Accepted Answer

You may directly check your loan application status from the Loans dashboard. Below are the status updates that you may find:

a) For Store Evaluation:Application is received and will be for bank’s review; a bank personnel will reach out to the client in 3 to 5 business days to ask for more information if needed

b) For Approval: The bank has completed its review. The application can now be forwarded by the applicant via email for evaluation and approval by the relevant educational authority.

c) Loan Approved – Action Needed:  Loan application has been approved by the bank and the relevant educational authority; client now needs to confirm the loan applicationdetails via Komo mobile app  to proceed to loan acceptance

d) Loan Amount on Process:Loan amount release is ongoing disbursement processing for credit to client’s nominated EWRB/Komo savings account

e) Loan Disbursed: Loan proceeds have been credited to the nominated savings account which can be verified/viewed via Transaction History.

How long will the processing of my loan application take?

The bank will reach out to the client within 3 to 5 business days to ask for more information if needed.

Question 5

Do I need to go to branch after my Teachers’ Loan Application on Komo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you still need to proceed to your nearest EWRB branch for your loan verification

Question 6

How will I receive the loan proceeds?

Accepted Answer

The loan amount will be disbursed directly to your nominated account – it can be your Komo savings or your otherEWRB account linked to Komo mobile app.You will receive a notification once the proceeds have been credited.

Question 7

Can I apply for another loan if I still have an active Teacher’s Salary Loan?

Accepted Answer

You can only have one active Teacher’s Salary Loan with EastWest Rural Bank at a time. You may apply for a new loan once your existing loan is fully repaid. 
 
However, in certain cases, the bank may grant an additional loan to teachers affected by calamities, provided the relevant educational authority issues the necessary granting authority through an official order.

Can I cancel my ongoing loan application?

Accepted Answer

Once your application has been reviewed and approved by the bank and relevant educational authority, you will be asked to confirm the details of your loan application again via the Komo mobile app. At this stage, you may choose to cancel the application if you wish.

Accepted Answer

Make sure that you have provided all the information required in the application process. You may also visit the closest EastWest Rural Bank branch to get more information.
