AFASA, or the Anti Financial Account Scamming Act, is a law that strengthens protections against online scams, unauthorized transactions, and account takeovers.Together with new BSP Circulars, the AFASA requires banks to put in place additional safeguards for digital banking. While these measures may sometimes cause short‑term inconvenience, their goal is to better protect your money and personal information, especially as scams become more sophisticated.
